What is Yadoct? The Algerian app to find a doctor, book an appointment and take a queue ticket

Yadoct is an Algerian health platform that connects patients with doctors, dentists and clinics. It is for three things: finding a practitioner, booking an appointment online and taking a queue ticket remotely so you can follow the practice's queue from home. For patients, it is free. For practices and clinics, there is a separate app, Yadoct Pro.

This article explains in plain terms what Yadoct does, what it doesn't do, and how to use it — on the yadoct.com website and in the app.

What Yadoct is not

Yadoct is a platform: it does not treat patients and does not give medical advice. Diagnosis, treatment and prescriptions remain your doctor's job. Yadoct helps you find that doctor, get a slot and avoid spending the morning in the waiting room.

Finding a doctor

On the search page, you choose a specialty and a location. Every registered practitioner has a public profile page: address, opening hours, reasons for consultation, languages spoken, and how to see them — by appointment, through the queue, or both.

Practitioners don't appear on their own: each one opens an account from Yadoct Pro, and the Yadoct team checks their professional documents before activating the account.

Yadoct is opening in Algiers first; the other wilayas are being added gradually.

Booking an appointment: on the website or in the app

Both work, but not in quite the same way.

• On the yadoct.com website: no account, no password, nothing to install. You choose a reason, a day and a free slot on the doctor's profile, then leave your first name, last name and phone number. The Yadoct team checks each request and calls you to confirm it before passing it on to the practice: expect a phone call.
• In the Yadoct app: the booking goes straight to the practice, with no checking step and no call. It is the right choice if you want a confirmed appointment right away.

The remote queue ticket

Many doctors in Algeria see patients without appointments: you arrive early, take a number, and wait. With Yadoct, at practices and clinics that manage their queue on Yadoct:

• on the doctor's profile, the website shows the queue live, with no account needed: open or closed, the number being called right now, how many patients are waiting, the estimated wait;
• the ticket is taken in the Yadoct app — from home, from work, from the car — and you then follow your place as the queue moves;
• the app alerts you automatically when only three patients are left ahead of you, and you can add your own alerts;
• you can take a ticket for a child or an elderly parent;
• in a clinic, each specialty has its own queue.

If the practice gives you a ticket at the front desk and has noted your phone number, that ticket also appears in your app. Everything is explained on the online queue page.

Everyday tools

• Duty pharmacies: today's list for the wilaya of Algiers, day and night, filterable by commune — no account needed.
• Children's vaccines: the Algerian vaccination schedule, with the next dates calculated from the date of birth; in the app, a reminder for each vaccine.

What it costs the patient

Nothing. Searching for a doctor, booking an appointment and taking a ticket on Yadoct are free for the patient. The consultation itself is paid at the practice, at the practitioner's rates. The app is available in Arabic, French and English — download page.

Your data

Data is stored on servers located in Algeria, encrypted and accessible only to authorised people, in accordance with Law 18-07 on the protection of personal data. On the waiting-room screen, the practice shows only a number and a room — never your name.

What about doctors?

Doctors, dentists and clinics use Yadoct Pro: calendar, online appointments, queue, waiting-room screen, patient records, prescriptions and teleconsultation.
